Odo is a "Pearl" Rat Terrier which means lavender fur and hazel-gray eyes.

February 25, 2016 After an exhausting (literally) seach for a rescue rat terrier puppy, I learned of a litter in Oakwood Village. A call and a drive out and Odo was in my lap, licking my face. I was able to see that Odo's mom and dad were very nice dogs. His one remaining brother was there. All in all, they were in excellent shape and very social. Perfect. Odo only threw up about six times on the way home. It took a number of loads of laundry to get that straightened away. Odo does his business outside, being out about every two hours. He doesn't cry except when left alone. He slept all night in bed without a wimper. I am thinking he kinda likes the new digs.
Odo's mom still had some of the mom's need to lord over the puppy, but was nice enough.
Odo's daddy ... Odo's daddy was moving at all times.
Friendly as a dog can be. Tail always wagging. Happy with
everyone and everything.
This is Odo and his brother. Again, they were all moving at all times and getting any photo was difficult. February 26, 2017 Odo's first night was no problem. He slept all night cozy as a bug under the blankets. Not even a peep out of him. He did raise holy hell about being stored in a crate while I went to get puppy food. He did not like that! Toodledip has been AMAZING with Odo. Trying to get him to play but respecting his space and, most importantly, sharing his toys. Not that if the below chewy was dropped it would not be stolen, but ....
Watch how very gentle Toodledip is teaching Odo tug of war:

February 27, 2017 Dr. Abby Taylor of Animal Clinic Northview has proclaimed Odo in good health. That first vet appointment is a doozy. Always wondering if things will turn out OK. They did turn out OK, excellent, in fact. Odo did puke in the car, again, lots. Have to work on that before he gets an airplane ride! Odo's first walk in the park, a two miler. Odo found his bark and insisted in raising holy hell with every jogger, walker and runner that went by: February 28, 2017 Here's Odo after a four mile walk. He was kind of complaining at the end, but finished the walk like a trooper!
Odo is ALWAYS smiling!
March 7, 2017 It has been a while since I've had dogs young enough to compete for the same bed:

Odo just doesn't have the coat for the deep cold of a mid-winter
walk ...
but with three sweaters ...
then he's fine!
The below is a seven degree walk:
ODO AWARDED DOG CO-PILOT ACCREDITATION!!! As a puppy, Odo had only one issue and that was motion sickness. As a
new puppy even going around the block caused him to throw up in the car.
Now seventeen months old, he is officially cured of motion sickness and
wishes to inform the world that he has passed his official DOG CO-PILOT TEST and is a fully accredited dog co-pilot and can perform all dog
co-pilot functions on all future flights!!! Hooray for Odo!!!
In Rosenberg, Texas, at Matt's in March of 2019. He outlasted
everyone. No one could throw the ball more than he could
retrieve it.
On July 8, 2020 Odo, having killed most everything in the backyard,
determined there was yet another invader that needed to be
vanquished. He met his match. His clock was cleaned.

backyard fight Odo lost ... badly
