There are times when I want to use my office (see HERE) while on the road but without an electric hookup and without starting the generator. There is a 1000 watt inverter located under the stove that powers the TVs and an outlet. This inverter feeds an automatic change-over switch. The outlets are connected to the shore supply when that is active. When inactive and the inverter is turned on, those are powered off the inverter. I tapped into that line and added two outlets. One is under the fridge. One runs across the step to under the dinette. I can now run my office off the inverter which is more than enough for all my equipment.
