BEWARE:  Rotten Norcold Fridge Roof Vent Covers

Refrigerators need air.  They are vented to the outside both at the base of their mounting box and at the roof.  If you have a Norcold refrigerator that is more than four years old, check the plastic cover on the roof.  Mine was broken.  It was so brittle that it crumbled in my hands.  A replacement isn't expensive, only about $10-12.  I have experienced having a motorhome driving in front of me loose an air conditioner cover and had to dodge and weave to keep out of its way.  There is no way I want to chance things falling off my roof and into the path of others.
