Punderson, although it has a very poorly designed Campground, is a winter wonderland.  It has ample snow and things to do in the snow.  It's the only or at least the only close-to-Cleveland electrical-available winter camp. It is about an hour east of North Olmsted, Ohio

This is an amateur radio campout!  We are meeting many other families!

October 14

Gosh, what a neat weekend!

We ended up getting the remains of Hurricane Marco and did we get RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.  We went out Friday morning (Saint NEOTA day, a day off school).  We had a great day although it rained continuously.  Until Saturday morning, when it only misted during the day.

Highlights:

  • 1.  The Apple Butter Festival with a steam powered sawmill, a potter, and lots of crafts

  • 2.  Campfire -- with the expert accompanyment of WD8MHL and KD8EX we sang every song we knew

  • 3.  Dinner at Belle's Restraunt in Burton

  • 4.  Critter chasing, leaf kicking, etc.

  • 5.  Fishing derby

  • 6.  Critter catching -- a frog

WD8MHL (Ray and family), WA8BXN (Mike and family), KD8EX (Tom and family), the Gilchrists and with N8ETP who just happened by.
