The idea that one, when in law school, can take a "study trip" may have been based on a foundation of sand.  Mary won two really nice tickets to the Ohio State versus Texas game to be played on Saturday, October 10.  We had scheduled a camping trip but then, as is always the case, work made Mary unavailable on Friday.  So be it.  I camp with my true friends.  Mary and Megan are to arrive Saturday only to leave for the night game.  They will return late to spend the night.  I provide a hotel.

Well, reliance has given way to restitution.  Back to what I came to do.

The now cool nights enticed me into opening the windows.  Bad choice.  Proving again that hounds are stupid, the one up the street began barking at about 7 a.m. and continued until the owners finally corralled it at about 8 a.m.  The owners of the hounds were hounds themselves.  As I was up until 4 a.m. studying, perhaps tonight I will do likewise only with walks interspersed every half hour or so.

Mom, Megan, and RTR joined us.  We took a walk, had a nice cookout, and then they left for the Ohio State football game.

Leaving at about 5:30 p.m. they didn't return until about 2:30 a.m.  Although we loClick for a bigger bugst, it was reported the game was really good.  I worked on contracts, torts, and legal writing.  Woo hoo!  I did have a visitor.  A small yellow bee-like bug that seems to have fallen in love with my yellow highlighter.  This bug would fly suspended next to it mimicking any motion I might make.  It sure seemed taken by the highlighter!

October 11

Here it is late morning and the two of them are still far from recovering from their foray into buckeye mania.  Eventually, they dragged themselves out of bed.  We took a nice walk and had a relaxed trip home.  Everything worked great.  The traffic was light.  The whole weekend was sunny.  What more could we ask for?
