seats on the dash of the motorhome. We are driving, on our
way to the Findley State Park campground. Notice how alert
they are? To the left is a picture that shows it is fall, the closed section of the campground is empty and Moose has NO LEASH! Due to the election, I have not been walking for a LONG time. Biking, yes, but not walking. When we arrived, I took Grace for a short walk (geriatric Grace can't walk all that far anymore). I took Moose for a much longer walk. We did the whole campground for a total of 4.3 miles and I am sore! I should NOT be sore. Must walk more. There are a lot of people here! I bet the campground is forty percent full. There are new water posts here. They put in valves that not only mate with a hose, but they stay on. Twist on, twist off. Common sense prevails! Hurray for Findley! November 9, 2013 -- BATS IN NOVEMBER We did 4.3 miles in the morning and 4.3 again after lunch. Cool beans! And, on November 8, 2013, while walking in the closed section, we saw a bat! A bat looking for a bug in November! Grace did about a mile. Geriatric Grace hurts pretty bad. Poor Grace. I am contemplating either pulling a wagon or some sort of device so she can come along. If I can drag her behind a bike, I drag her when walking ... at least on the roads. We are supposed to leave today, but it has been so nice a weekend I am staying another day. Grace demands to go on short walks. We might make 1/4 mile-per-hour when she is going all out. She is sooooo slow. I need to investigate a wagon I can pull so that she can come with us. The park pretty much emptied out.
Another really pretty day. Snow is coming. Time to saunter on home. Time to rest up. Did a lot of walking and my legs are really aching. Take a look at the "after" pictures. On the way home the dogs couldn't keep their eyes open. For up-to-date park maps and information, check the |
